Terms of Use

notSoOften is a platform where university students represent their schools in esports tournaments and leagues. Matches are played on game platforms such as FACEIT and Riot Games; notSoOften runs registration, pairings, results and rankings.

notSoOften is not endorsed by or affiliated with FACEIT or Riot Games. Game names and logos are trademarks of their owners.

To open an account you must be a student of a school registered on the platform and verify your school email. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred or shared.

Keep the sign-in codes sent to your school email to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else is using it, write to us right away.

The game accounts you link must be yours. Playing on someone else's account (smurfing or account sharing) is forbidden.

Insults, harassment, hate speech, discrimination and threats are forbidden. Nicknames and uploaded content must respect the law and public decency.

Cheating, cheat software, match fixing, result manipulation and playing for betting purposes are forbidden.

Using the platform with automated tools, trying to bypass security measures and preventing others from using the service are forbidden.

The game platforms' own rules (FACEIT, Riot Games) also apply. A player banned on a game platform may be removed from notSoOften events too.

Each tournament and league follows the rules published by the organising school or league manager. Results come from the game platform. Disputes go first to the organiser, then to the platform team, whose decision is final.

Prizes are given by the organiser. notSoOften is not responsible for prizes an organiser promised.

Events involving gambling or betting may not be organised.

You must hold the rights to the images you upload and the texts you write. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show them on the platform. Your uploaded images are removed when you delete your account.

We may remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or permanently ban accounts. Users can report inappropriate behaviour; reports are reviewed by the platform team and decisions are recorded.

We provide the service as is and do not guarantee it will run without interruption. We are not responsible for outages or decisions of the game platforms, or for how users behave towards each other. Liability that cannot be limited by law remains unaffected.

We may update these terms and will announce important changes on the site. You can delete your account from your profile page at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The competent authorities in Turkey, including consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts, have jurisdiction over disputes.
